ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Principal Systems Administrator to join our team in Pentagon, VA. The position is onsite. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Provide specialized support and troubleshooting for VIP users, including hardware, software, network, and application issuesManage and maintain computer systems, servers, and other IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and securityManage VIP user accounts, permissions, and security access within the organization's IT environmentIdentify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to VIP user's IT needsMaintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, procedures, and user support informationCollaborate with other IT staff and stakeholders to ensure smooth IT operations and address VIP user needsStrong technical skills in areas such as Windows and Linux operating systems, network administration, virtualization, and securityExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve issuesStrong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with VIP users and IT staffExperience in managing and supporting complex IT environments, especially for VIP usersManaging desktop computers, servers, and other hardware devices for VIP usersInstalling, configuring, and updating software applications used by VIP usersTroubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to VIP users' hardware, software, and network accessCreating, modifying, and managing VIP user accounts and permissionsSupporting and maintaining specialized software and hardware used by VIP usersProviding training and support to VIP users on new software and hardwareManaging Active Directory and other infrastructure core servicesProviding support for thin clients and virtual desktop environmentsSupporting and maintaining COTS and custom softwareCollaborating with other teams to ensure technology needs are met for eventsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 7+ years of experience in the Information Technology; an additional 4 years of Systems Administration experience can be substituted in lieu of a degreeUnderstanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), servers, and networkingKnowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), switch configurations, and firewalls is essentialExperience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automating tasks and improving efficiencyMicrosoft Visio, Word, Excel experience CASP+ Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hireDoD 8570 Computing Environment Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hireKnowledge of Microsoft Windows Systems, HP SANs, VMware productsExperience using a Service Desk ticketing system, such as Remedy or ServiceNowPreferred Qualifications:One of the following certifications is desired: MCSE - Microsoft Certified System Engineer, MCSE - Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, MCSA - Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, MCITP - Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional, VMware VCP - VMware Certified Professional, CCNA - Cisco Certified Network AdministratorITIL Foundations or later certification General Dynamics Encryptor experienceSolarWinds experience and knowledgeCisco Prime Infrastructure experience and knowledgeSecurity Clearance Requirements:US Citizenship required and active TS/SCI clearance adjudicated within the last 6 years.Candidate must be open to Poly if selected by the customer.Physical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
