**Job Title: Tool and Die Machinist in Toone TN** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Machinist to join our team, responsible for studying blueprints, sketches, and drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. You will be instrumental in guiding subsequent machining processes and ensuring quality outcomes. **Responsibilities** + Interpret and analyze blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces. + Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on materials or work pieces as guides for subsequent machining. + Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on various machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers. + Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut. + Enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media. + Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls or control media as necessary. + Install machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment, and test the operation to ensure functionality and performance. **Essential Skills** + 3-5 years of machinist experience with conventional machining. + Experience in lathe and mill setup. + Ability to read blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings. + Proficiency in operating all machine shop equipment including CNC machines, lathes, grinders, and shapers. + Possession of required hand tools such as micrometers and calipers. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Programming experience is a plus, but not mandatory. + 5 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. **Why Work Here?** We offer comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
