Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours/day (37.5 hours/week)
Seeking an entry-level X-Ray Technician to operate radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images. The role includes preparing patients for procedures, ensuring safety and compliance, and maintaining equipment and documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities:Establish rapport with patients to reduce anxiety and explain procedures clearly.
Prepare patients for imaging by positioning them properly and adjusting equipment settings.
Practice radiation safety techniques, including patient shielding and beam restriction, to minimize exposure risks.
Produce high-quality radiographs following standardized imaging protocols and make adjustments as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records and departmental systems.
Perform equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance per manufacturer guidelines; coordinate necessary repairs.
Monitor and maintain supply inventory levels; place orders as needed.
Comply with all infection control, health, and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Meet continuing education requirements and participate in professional development activities.
Support the radiology team as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
Complete yearly Age-Specific Competency training.

Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
Required Licenses & Certifications:
New York State License (L.R.T.)
